/We are still living with COVID-19. And, it looks like we will be working and living within the COVID guidance for a bit more. So, we wanted to answer some questions that most affect San Diego’s real estate market.
+ Are you open for business?
Yes. We have been in business for over 30 years, and have survived many harsh market conditions. We'll take you through this uncertain time, too.
+ Is real estate an "essential service"?
It depends on your location. In San Diego, real estate is considered an essential service.
+ Does that mean it’s “business as usual”?
No, it is anything but business as usual. Public health and safety is our number one priority. We can still provide our clients with a high level of customer service and communication we are known for, but there are some changes. These include no open houses; virtual showings or controlled in-person showings; and observing social distancing guidelines.
+ I want to ask you some questions - how can we meet?
Yes! We can meet by phone, hold a virtual meeting on your favorite messaging application, or in-person (following the CDC's social distancing guidelines).
+ Can you hold open houses?
No. Open houses are not allowed during the COVID-19 pandemic. However, we have a wide array of other marketing avenues available.
+ Should I wait to sell or buy?

+ Can I still list my home?
Yes, you can still put your home up for sale.
+ Can I hold an open house?
No. Open houses are not allowed during the COVID-19 pandemic. However, there are many other marketing avenues available, including virtual tours, that can help sell your home.
+ I want to sell my home, but I need to make repairs first. How can I update my home?
That's a great idea! Construction is considered an essential service, and many hardware stores are still open for business. We can give you a list of contractors, painters, and landscapers we trust.
+ Will there be delays in selling my home?
Maybe, however, we are not experiencing delays.
+ Do I have to sign my documents in person?
No. You an sign all of your documents online.
FOR BUYERS
+ Can I buy a home now?
Yes, you can. And, with low inventory and interest rates, it may be a good time to buy.
+ I'm afraid to visit a potential home. How will I be able to know if the house is "the one" without being able to be there physically?
Many listings now have Virtual Tours, which lets you tour the property from the comfort of your home. This way you can be more sure this is a very good prospect before viewing.
+ Can I tour a home I am very interested in purchasing?
Yes, but make sure you are pre-qualified prior to touring a home. That will prove to the sellers that you are serious about purchasing their property.
+ Are there risks to purchasing a property sight (physically) unseen?
Buyers have purchased properties “sight unseen” for a variety of reasons long before this pandemic. Virtual, online video tours are tried-and-true alternatives to in-person showings. Others are allowing the seller’s agent to use a video-conferencing app like Skype or FaceTime to virtually show a property in real-time.
+ How can I sign my closing documents?
You can sign your closing documents online via a web application.
+ Will there be delays at closing?
Maybe, however, we do not anticipate any delays at closing.
+ I heard closings can be extended. Is that true?
